Instead of shooting in the dark, did you put diagnosis tool and see if any codes are showing up? if so what are they?
Tried diagnosis tool at first it showed throttle emissions control sensor but that wouldn't cause not to fire at all...so friend erased code after that was done....it said something like no DTC codes were found in PCM I believe.....my uncle is disabled & not able to work on his vehicle but he has much knowledge in this area....he said its getting fuel turning over strong but getting no fire.... If u could help us out it would b much appreciated... Ty for ur hskl
The throttle sensor will cause what you are telling me. http://repairpal.com/throttle-position-sensor-may-fail-473 if that the code that came up, let go ahead and change it. I would also clean the throttle body as well.
its an easy swap, and its located near the throttle and should take 20 mins at the most. lets see what happens.
Here is a list of the codes: http://www.engine-light-help.com/jeep-check-engine-light.html
You may also want to check the crankcase sensor even though you are not getting that code and will cause the car not to start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZIIJo6OHNM
Let me know how you make out.
