My whistling noise is intermittent. And spmetimes it happens while slowly going up a steep grade. Starts and lasts for maybe 10 to 15 seconds. I have it in the shop now fir the techs to check it out.

It turns out that the noise was coming from a resonance of a heat shield plate under the engine. The speed and engine RPM combination created the resonant frequency. The dealer exchanged the plate and the noise went away. My physics degree has finally come in handy.
