Will a 2003 liberty 3.7 fit and work in a 2002?

My engine is out of commission due to knocking and damages. I found a graveyard 2003 3.7 engine. My 02 liberty had a 3.7 as well, so will it fit?

May have different intake,just do a swap off your old one.That way all sensor,s match.

Absolutely, the reluctor ring on crankshaft and tone gear on cam shaft are identical and will swap for years 2002. & 2003 !

I have a 2003 Jeep liberty 3.7 and I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7 I swap the motors Out of the 2003 and put it in a 2004 and now I’m having problems it’s it’s backfiring spitting in sputtering and Won’t start it gets there but it won’t start
