I'm sorry both engines are 3.7 V6 engines out of liberty's

Will a 3.7 engine out of 2011 Jeep Liberty fit in to a 2002 Jeep liberty

Yes, the 3.7 L engine will fit and bolt up to the transmission, but the timing reluctor ring will need to be changed on the crankshaft in the crankcase, and the tone wheel will need to be changed on the cam in the passenger side head. The exhaust manifolds are different, you will have to remove and change those as well. I also ran into a problem with the air intake valve, the EGR valve is different I swapped those as well.

What will i have to change in order to put a 2004 engine in a 2002 jeep liberty/
