I believe my o2 sensors are bad but does anyone think it may be something else

Asked by Lance Feb 11, 2021 at 05:25 PM about the 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When your doing about 60 the rpms will drop from
2000 to 1500 rapidly and go right back up. Or the
vehicle jerks and the rpms surge 4 or 5
hundred. The rpms will also bottom out and the
jeep will die every time we stop. The gas mileage is
a quarter what it should be.
I've changed the camshaft sensor,  Idle air control
valve. Crank sencer

If you're in florida, I recommend Andy@ Jeep Diagnostics. He is a mobile Jeep computer tech.352-263-9102... He was honest and thorough when he fixed my Jeep. His price was decent as well.

It does sound like O2 sensors, but the dying thing sounds like a clogged catalytic convertor which would take out your O2 sensors.... That's why I recommended Andy. He knows his craft and is honest which is a hard combination to find. He has been known to travel out of Florida and will be up front with you about the cost.
