My jeep won't start and the gas gauge
stopped working at the same time

Same thing happened to my 2002 Grand Cherokee. The gas gauge would not activate when it wouldn’t start but then it would activate all of a sudden & car would start like normal. Thought I was on empty at first. What could cause this?
