Do i need a new fuel injector

I have a jeep wrangler 2001 the check engine light came on and it was shaking and
spluttering. So I just had the mechanic hook it up & diagnose a fuel injector issue. So he
cleaned the fuel injector & reset the check engine light. but 2 days later symptoms where
back and ck engine light came on flashing. Do i need a new fuel injector

It does sound that way. It also could be spark plugs, plug wires, coil packs or more. If you don't trust this mechanic have looked at by another one. You can have the code scaned free at most auto parts chain stores like Autozone. If the code is an injector then he was right and it needs to be replaced.

I trust this guy he's a friend and has the correct diagnosis equip. He said the code was the fuel injector and tried to clean it out first to save me money. So thanks for you answer i really appreciate it
