Asked by ownerofajeep Sep 15, 2020 at 05:29 PM about the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed my radiator.   when I apply the gas or release the gas,  there still
is a chirping sound from the engine.   I'm wondering if my water pump is going
out.

it also could be one of the pulleys run off the serpentine belt. Remove the belt and spin each pulley by hand and listen for noises. The one that make a noise is what needs replacing.

okay will check on that. Also I was thinking maybe the belt was too tight. Seems like when it rains or go through water it does that.
