Car dying on me

My car is dying on me, the edge metal  hose is cracked
open, is this what making my mustang shut off?

No idea what an "edge metal hose" is, but any cracked, broken or missing vacuum hoses on an engine are going to give it fits. Identify the broken hose and replace it, any parts store should be able to help you do that. (Or take a clear pic of it and post it here for additional help).
