Gauge shows no oil pressure

Asked by L420 Jan 03, 2017 at 02:35 PM about the 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4-Door 4WD

Oil pressure gauge says 0 but I just changed
the oil. No sign of oil on the ground..sounds
ok...it normally showed about 40 p before.
Thoughts?

see a lot of issues with the oil pressure sending unit.

Possible oil pressure sending unit, make sure there is power running to the sander, and you may want to verify your oil pressure with a gauge.

I agree with Rowefast. Actual oil pressure test via mechanical gauge is in order. If pressure is ok then try throwing a sender at it.

Of course make sure it is still hooked up. maybe the sender got disconnected when changing the oil accidentally?
