When hot engine begins running rough and dies. Will restart but runs very roughas if missing. Pop the hood and wait 15-20 minutes and will restart and run fine. Have replaced frt O2 sensor

In my opinion, this sounds like a good candidate to be put on an engine monitor. It could be so many things.

I would guess temp sensor or crank position sensor. Sometimes they will start giving improper readings without tripping the check engine light. You might also try disconnecting the computer and checking the timing

bksoend.........can you tell me what you ever figured out? my 2001 Grand Cherokee is doing the EXACT same thing. I,ve tried everything except a new PCM. i recon thats next. just hoping you got yours fixed

is it normal for my 2015 cherokee to only ever reach one tick before half way hot on the thermastat. but be able to feel the heat fuming all around vehicle and inside it. like sometimes extreme heat waves and everyone says its normal

Vapor lock on number 3 cylinder rape in hector with insulation and it will be fine. It’s a problem with all 4.0 litre engines
