Question type: Maintenance & Repair

if my exhaust is throwing smoke , (my check engine
light is on and the code we are getting is for the CC)
but the cars performance isn't being affected
besides in 1st gear its like your trying to push it
backwards as it drives forward . Is it safe to still
drive without replacing the CC that the auto parts
store employee tells me is clogged ? I have no extra
money to repair with new or used parts even doi the
work myself so I need to ride like this as long as
possible .

You'll end up being stranded if you don't get it fixed, and possibly cause more damage to the engine.
