AC/blower motor work but no heat

Asked by bonniemac55 Nov 16, 2015 at 07:28 PM about the 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

55+ single woman, son bought me great CD
player from Best Buy. Took it for install and
after 3 hours the idiots said wouldn't work
and kept blowing fuses. Pretty mad and left.
After that I had no blower, air, heat. All fuses
and relays ok so I attempted to take dash
off. Bunch of stuff not plugged in. Couldn't
believe figured blower and air out but have
not had heat/defrost for 5 years. Did I miss
plugging something else in? At this point I'm
desperate and all I hear is it's something big
although only happened after their screw-
up. Limited funds but willing to try by myself
(my sons live out of state) Thanks anyone
with suggestions.

Can you take it back to the installer and make them fix what they damaged?

Bonnie, sounds like there is a vacume hose undone under dash that controls the flip door that runs the vents and defrost control, and for the heat there is all so a blend door that controls the heat to cool,it is controled by vacume all so,if you find this not to be the issue with your heat, check the thermostat, you can google all of this or youtube the videos on how to check these problems, hope this helps.
