1995 Jeep Cherokee no start no crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey everyone I really need your help! I have a 1995 Jeep
Cherokee that will not start! I replaced the ignition switch
because it felt like something broke (sloppy ignition). That
didn't fix it. I have checked the relays and tried to start it in
neutral to see if the neutral safety switch went bad but it
didn't start. If I jump the starter it fires right up with no
hesitation... It doesn't seem like I have power from the relay
box to the starter. Any suggestions?

It won't crank over or even act like it's alive unless I jump the starter then it fires right up. I am not getting any power from the wire that runs along side the main battery cable to the starter. But I swapped around the relays and it did not change anything so I am thinking my relay is good?

Ecu or you have a bad short in your wires. I’d track all the wires down and check them. Possibly a bad fuse. Silonoid could be bad also a direct jump could by pass the silonoid. That’s all the things I would check first.
