Lost all power

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got a 94 jeep yj 2.5 4cyl 5speed and I was
heading home last night when all of a sudden it
acted like it stalled out. I go to restart it and
nothing, no fuel pump starter or nothing and my
gauges aren't working yet I can turn on my light bar
and lights and what not. Thought it might possibly
be one or several relays or worse my ECM. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Start with the battery cables, don't believe the light bar it's not part of the jeep harness instead check power distribution center for a main power relay or check large amp fuses also ground wiring, do you have a digital volt/ohm meter? If so do a voltage drop test on the negative battery cable first put the neg lead on any metal on the engine the other lead to battery terminal then crank engine if the reading is more than One volt the cable is bad, One volt is the max value for any circuit, hope this helps
