Switching out the 3.0L for a 4.0L

Question type: Car Customization
I have a 99 ranger and the motor seized up on me. I found a 4.0L motor with only 27k miles on it and its a complete engine with wire harness, power steering etc. has everything. I can buy this for only $700 and was wondering if its easily possible to switch over the conversion and if everything will match up....tranny, sensors, etc. Please let me know asap I need get this going!

unless it's the same year or generation the tranny sensors and crap will work, btw you must also have the ECU which i know is a no-brainer but I've seen ppl just cut wires because they thought the engine was just going to scrap or for parts. but the best thing to do would be get a manual trans and convert it.
as far as i know.. the 4.0 and 3.0 are different... im not sure but i dont think the bellhousings are the same my 97 needed a trans and only a 4.0 trans would fit it.. but urs is newer than mine... good luck
