Oil leak between engine and gearbox

Asked by Guru99XLTC Oct 06, 2020 at 01:27 AM about the 2004 Opel Corsa C

Question type: General

I recently bought a 2004 opel corsa C 1.6 wait a
bad oil leak
Everyone suspected main seal
After having almost all seals on gearbox and the
main seal. The leak is still there.
My question is that it has a 4 hole flywheel bolted
to a 6 hole crank. The mechanic failed to mention
that oil can leak from there.
It only leaks when driving. On idle it doesnt leak.

Hi. Sorry for all the typos in my question. The car does not smoke. It starts very easy and runs great. Only after driving and stopping then it leaks oil. When the car is idle it has no leak. After standing for a while the leak stops. Can it be because there are 2 open holes where the flywheel meets the crank as previous owners bolted a 4 hole flywheel on a 6 hole crank the flywheel seems dry. The belhousing was full of oil when removed and very dirty compared to the flywheel. Underside of the car is also full of oil

@Guru99xxLTC, I've been having the exact same problem...how did you eventually sort it out?
