Corsa C noisy fan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Corsa C fan usually runs for a few minutes after the engine is turned off. For the last two weeks it started making noise when it went off, the sound started off as though the fins were touching on something and ended off like a dull screech. Today my fan has stopped coming on, i no longer hear it and coincidentally my temperature has started going way over the halfway mark

Most likely you are hearing the bearings starting to go out on your fan assembly. The higher the RPM the less the noise will be . At lower RPM the noise is much easier to hear. A replacement electric fan should end your issue. GOOD LUCK
