Dying when coming to stop, and won’t hold idle at start up either

My Jeep won’t stop dieing at idle, have tried to
adjust the carb , etc, not sure what’s going on with
it. Have to keep my foot on the accelerator at
intersections. Doesn’t die off when on the free way
for instance. But won’t hold idle when starting and
won’t hold idle coming to a stop

Check or clean the idle air control (IAC) valve. A new one costs about $20.
