To much pressure in my coolant reservoir?

My Jeep started getting hot, I decided to try to put coolant into her as she
had sat for a few months. Used an entire container! No apparent leaks, I
ran her for a while and notices that the upper hose on the reservoir was
hissing and spitting small amounts of fluid. Replaced both hoses leading
from reservoir started her and before she could even warm up it started the
hissing and spitting? Can I be getting to much pressure? Any Ideas?

Oil is clean, head gasket was replaced about 8 months ago
Are the fans coming on? Try turning on the AC, that should make the fans come on, and confirm they are at least working.
Thank you I did not know the AC would get the fan on that fast! Yes it worked instantly.
So now you want to let the car get hot, keep the AC off, and see if the fans are coming on. If not, there may be a problem with the coolant temp sensor.
Ok, did just as you said and the fan did not turn on,moving to testing the coolant temp sensor. Thank you!
Just figured out where my coolant sensor is......way out of my league. I figured it was going to be on the housing unit of the thermostat but its actually on the side of my engine block, can it be reached from under the Jeep? I need to remove the shield to get a better look but it is dark I am laying on rock, and I just don't like bugs......
