AC makes a noise

Asked by Adriana Apr 12, 2018 at 09:56 PM about the 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE Value Edition FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2017 Elantra AC makes a faint noise
when it’s on low. It almost sounds like
something is rattling in there. It wasn’t like
this when I bought it. When I turn it off you
can hear it winding down, again, as a
rattling type of noise. What can it be?

Something may be stuck in the blower motor or the blower motor has an issue. You will have to have a look under there. Could just be a leaf stuck rather than a bad bearing issue since the car is so new. Still under warranty? Then just bring it in.
