My 1999 Ford Ranger 2.5liter 5speed got stuck in 4th gear while driving down the road. Had to have it towed back home. How do I get in neutral and what do you think the problem is?

I would think,slave or master cylinder,to clutch,if not these ,it will be in the tranny it self.

Possible bad pressure plat or clutch.
