Starting 99 Ford ranger

Asked by Guru94DLZK Sep 06, 2020 at 10:45 AM about the 1999 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab LB

Went to start my truck and nothing happened
. Disconnected battery for a minute both
posts then reconnected had lights at that
point . Try to turn over truck and get 1 click
sound then no lights . Did this battery thing 3
times same result . And help would be greatly
appreciated.

If lights turn on and look strong its your starter. If they look weak its your battery. But if you give it a jump and it starts , it might be your alternator. Away to check its your alternator not your battery it s jump starting it and then while running remove the wires from battery it it stays on its an alternator issue.
