What is the engine life expectancy of the V6 3.5L DOHC 195 engine?
Could you let me know where I can go online to read from several credible sources about the life expectancy of this engine in a Sedona? Please email me at hill_jonathan51@yahoo.com.
Thank You,

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine the life expectancy of a vehicles engine. Small/Large failures happen all the time that could vastly reduce the life of any engine. Once the consumer takes ownership all bets are off.

Your engine is a key part of your drivetrain. If the manufacturer has a 10 year 100000 mile warranty on the drivetrain they expect it to last longer than that since they couldn't stay in business constantly replacing engines. There are two caveats. The first assumes the owner has the proper maintenance performed (oil changes) and the second is the statistical possibility of bad product coming off the production line (usually 1 in 1000 or 1 in 10000 - certainly a high enough ratio not to ruin the company's profit margin).
I am driving a 2006 Kia Sedona. I I'm the original owner. I have never changed the plugs or wires or done any major motor repairs. I have 270000 miles and the car runs great.

I owe a 2003 Kia Sedona and just got 270,000 miles. never changed coils or anything else, however I do oil change as needed. Engine still running great with the exception that it has began to leak oil. Not sure if its time to get a new vehicle or invest around 600.00 and get a new gasket replacement and make a tune up. Any suggestions please, thank you.
I HAVE A 2008 KIA SEDONA AND I HAVE 130,000 MILES AND I HAVE CHANGE MY VALVE COVER GASKETS AND MY VEHICLE IS RUNNING GOOD AS NEW
I have 2007 kia amanti, 155,000 miles. Have change oil regularly and maintenance. It has developed dry start and owners manual, says this is normal. Ir takes approx. 3 seconds for it to build pressure enough to stop the chatter. The oil all drains out of the filter in 20 minutes and if it sits all night, bone dry. Anyone know why, as this can not be good.

The motor in my 2015 Kia Sedona blew up on I-75 with 75k miles on it. Not much support from Kia so far. It has been 45 days.

At 182,000 miles on my 08 Kia Sedona. It runs as good as the day it was purchased. Regular oil changes and not much of anything else. Running so good was thinking of bringing to shop to give a once over... belts etc. I love it and planned to purchase another when this dies... hoping in another 100,000 miles.
I have an 08 with 190,000 and only half those are on the engine. So half it was being towed behind another vehicle which still runs miles but no engine wear. I am selling it for $3000 as I recently bought an Escalade. No mechanical issues. Just an upgrade.
What state are you in and did you sell it? Lcmcclain1973@gmail.com
2007 Sedona, 180,000 miles. Engine has been leaking for years, tried to have it fixed. Went thru 3 alternators , it’s suspected that oil has leaked into them , now there is a hemorrhage somewhere by the oil filter. I’ve been faithful on oil changes and did a tune up. Is it time for s new family vehicle especially if we travel long distances? Anyone?
Just got a secondhand 2004 kia sadona. Runs almost like new with over 230k miles on it. Not sure what maintenance has been done if any before purchasing.
I have a Kia sodona 2006 149000 miles only problem was a new a/c compressor and dryer. Other than that oil change every 3000. And rotate tires. Very good vehicle drove all over this country.
I have a 2016 Kia Sedona, just turned 310,000 miles, changed plugs at 200.000, front brakes at 200,000 and rear brakes at 290,000. all service work performed on time at Kia dealership in Johnson city, Tennessee.
I just bought a used 2006 Kia Sedona with 236,000 miles for $1,000 - and had been kept in pristine condition and really still looks new. I did have an issue with a hose leaking on to my alternator which ruined my alternator. so when I took it back to the dealer where I had bought it just four days prior they apologized and said they should have seen that and repaired everything for free. Scar tissue I've read where people have driven their Kia sedonas over 350,000 Miles! I can only hope. LOL I will definitely be getting another Kia Sedona when it's time to buy a new car I'm very impressed with this vehicle.
I bought a used Kia Sedona 2012 around with 70,000 Miles on it when I bought it I had a tune up around 95,000 Miles... so everything that needed to be routinely maintenance has but shortly after I just hit 100,000 my engine is making noise like a light knocking noise and I remember when I bought it at 70,000 MI you couldn't even tell when it was running it was so quiet... I also have a catalytic converter that needs replaced because it's getting clogged I don't know if I can cause any issues.. But otherwise she's a good ole girl... drives nice still!
