Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Kia Optima EX 2.7   My speedometer is erratic.  once the car
warms up and you are driving any speed above 35 and take your foot of the
gas, this is when the needle goes up an down and then not moving until the car
is restarted.  I changed the transmission speed sensors.  What next? Does this
car have a speedometer sensor or do I have to replace the cluster?

Make sure your getting a stable signal from the VSS, if not replace it, if you are, then as this is a KIA check the grounds for the instrument cluster, and the dash wiring for weak connections. If all if that is good then you may have a bad gauge servo motor, they can be replaced but you need to know what your doing or you could mess up the entire gauge.
