04 sotento water leak

Asked by Tipps1221 Aug 17, 2017 at 08:03 AM about the 2004 Kia Sorento LX 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drove my car this morning to work about 15
minutes. When i stopped i could smell like a
coolant smell and my car was smoking and water
was all over but i did not overheat, in fact my temp
remained normal for the whole trip. Im not sure
where the water was comming from as it was wet
all over, im curious if anyone else has had this
problem?

Anotger added note was when i stopped water was not pouring out it was like the fan was just blowing it all over the motor.

Possibly a pin hole leak in a hose spraying towards the fans? Is the top of radiator plastic? Could be a crack in radiator going down on fans. Pressure test to see where leak is.

I dont know i believe its metal it has a cover. Whould i get a pressure test at napa or autozone?

It is a plastic top on the radiator and no need for pressure test, i see it bubbling when its raining and spraying out as its cooling

Not sure you knew exactly here leak was. Sometimes these do require a pressure test to find molecule seepage.
