What could it be transmission or power steering. I didn't lose oil

I drove over the median messed up my tire and rim while it was
sitting waiting to change the tire I noticed that there was fluid all
over the ground and when I went to drive it it didn't want to move
and when moving maade crazy noises

Have it towed to a garage. What color was the fluid?
