Before u do that, u can see if fan motor or relay is working by running engine and disconnecting temperature sensor from the head, this will make ur fans turn on, if they don't work, see if u can hear the relay click on, if not, replace cooling fan relay located in ur fuse box
I don't have owners manual were is the relay located?
What if you hear the click then what do you fix

My question is only way the cooling fans will work is if my ac max is turned on other wise they do not come on and I know both fans work and the relays and fuses are good but someone told me to check the fan control switch or something like that that would tell the fans when to work would probably be my issue just need to find out the issue so it doesn’t over heat again. On a 2005 Ford Taurus
Hi I got a 2005 ford Taurus and heater fan is not working and not blowing air I changed all fuses and relay switchs but still not working I went for a ride one night it was working but when I went to go home it didn't turn on so I'm wondering what could be wrong with it
Hi I have a ford taurus SEL 2011. I am having overheating problems ... about a year ago I changed the thermostat and it worked well, two months ago I replaced the water pump with a new one but today the overheating problem persists because the fan sometimes starts and sometimes does not, so the temperature rises to the maximum and I have to stop the engine immediately. Has anyone had a similar experience with a Taurus 2011? Can anyone suggest me how to intervene and solve the problem?
Guru7JGDD Coolant temp sensor, but don't install an aftermarket. Fords don't like them and the gauge may still show it running hot. I had changed all mine with aftermarket and it was showing 3/4 on the hot gauge when the original was in center. I only changed them just because I was doing engine work. I ended up putting back the old ones. Pull codes first to see what it tells you. Auto parts stores should be able to do that for you.
