How to install fuel filter

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am replacing a fuel filter on 2002 Kia sportage 2 door. Does the entire
assembly (filter & siphon) & (fuel level float) both sit inside the square baffle
inside the tank? I am having difficulty.

Fuel filter is located under the hood under the battery and mounted to the frame with a 10mm bolt.
