I would start by checking and cleaning the battery connections both on the terminals and on the body.

Check behind your work.If the lights were working before work was done and don't work now and it won't crank/start and nothing works, then a couple possibilities .1st if the HOT wire was disconnected from the alternator before the battery was disconnected and it shorted to ground. 2nd if the new battery was connected backwards,"reverse polarity"(pos cable connected to neg battery terminal/neg cable connected to pos battery terminal? If this happened, you should have seen SPARKS? TEST ALL fuses with a test light, both sides of each fuse, take less than 5 minutes to test all fuses, key ON.
