Put gas on diesel truck

just drain it out or syphon it out. Buy a syphon kit out of a parts store and a litle gas can or 2. Drain it out and then pour into a bigger spare can ( like one off a jeep). turn your key on to get a accurate reading of the tank ( but do not start the vehicle, this will burn your pump out). Or drain it, which is just another pain in neck. Pull out your fuel relay from fuse panel and the excess will drain out of fuel line. Because you pulled your relay, that circuit is now short and doesn't have the ability to pull out any more fuel ( of any kind). Just remember after the project is finished, put the relay back in it's place. The ECM and the relay are cousins. if the ECM doesn't read the FR, it will not start, or highly doubtful. LAST and MOST IMPORTANT.. quit texting and fueling and pay attention.
Standard procedure is to replace the entire fuel system. The 6.7 doesn't like running gas in it. You can try to save some $$$ and drain it all out ASAP and get it out of your lines as well then change your filters.
I simply grabbed the wrong hose and put 14.6 gallons in before I noticed the problem. the tank was almost empty. I didn't crank i, I had it towed to my house on a Sunday when nobody is open to get answers. Some one suggested draining it from the fuel filter under the truck. We tried to suck it out but was unable due to the roll over protection inside the tank. Any Suggestions?
