Interior lights on Lincoln LS 2004 won't turn off

Hi nice to meet you. If the interiors light don't turn off, maybe you have an door ajar sensor bad, this sensor is in the door lock actuator. You need to verify in the instrumental cluster you see a door ajar. If you don't see this maybe you have a problem with the bcm or the light main switch. In the switch you have the position to turn on the interior lights.

hello this answer is in particular to the 'Map Light' between the sun visors. this interior light will stay on if you have an external bulb out on your Lincoln LS. As for my LS it turned out to be 1 of 2 of my license plate lights. so this is best checked in the dark.

Checked all my lights, doors and trunk. No lights on my dash alerting me to an issue, and yet my map lights will not go out. Also check my interior light switch and turned it to off. What else can be the issue?
