Ac blend door problem

you may want to check the flap that redirects the air for defrost. I believe it is hung up
It's almost always the actuator that fails. If you switch settings between vents try and listen for the actuator. If the door is stuck on something (a rare occurrence) the actuator will click as it tries to move it. If you here nothing at all, then assume the actuator is bad. You won't know for certain until you can access it. I usually have a new one on hand, and after gaining access to the actuator, plug the new one into its wiring harness and test it. If I was even smarter I would test the switch before going through all the above just to eliminate the chance it was a bad switch, but that is an even rarer fault.

the guy said he thought it was the blend door because he did not hear a switch from heat to cold and the blend door in under the console. I was told that last year and it w as not the blend door. I had a new radiator put on and new h o ses and the heat worked when the hoses were properly put back into place. The h eat stopped and the hoses were reversed and the heat worked again. I don't want to take the console up if we can try something else
