2003 lincoln navigator. i have a tapping noise coming from the rear end of the car it usually only happens when the car is in drive or reverse or taking tight turns at low speed and even sitting at idle at a stop light. It doesnt sound like a deep sound like one that would come from internals but rather like something is lose. is there any that is prone to come loose? right before i bought the car they had to air bag suspension replaced with normal suspension but it doesnt sound like its coming from the suspension

Just bought a 2007 Lincoln Navigator L. When I start the car I can usually hear a low rumbling not associated with the engine. I assume its a motor that fills the billows in the air suspension because it only does it for a few seconds and has never done it while driving. Is that the cause and is it normal? 1 Answer
