Why is my fan is running all the time on 2002 Lincoln Cont. V-8.

As soon as the engine starts the fan runs and never shuts off, even in winter.

if its a mechanical fan it might be the fan clutch itself, if its electric it might be a temp sensor that failed. luckily it failed in the on position, much better then no fan at all
