Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2001 lincoln ls and it has antifreeze in the engine cooling fan fluid
reservoir any ideas what would cause this? I was thinking maybe previous owner put
antifreeze in the wrong reservoir but not sure if there is another problem that could cause
this

I just checked it out - 10 pounds of unnecessary crap in a 2 pound box. God Bless Automotive Engineers. I guess an electric fan was too simple of a design. Yeah, for some stupid reason, the fan is hydraulic.

I have a hydraulic fan in my 2001 Lincoln LS, and there is antifreeze in the hydraulic fan reservoir. How do I flush it all out?

I just put an electronic fan and removed the hydraulic and my AC is better and driving 4 hours straight in traffic was no problem
