how to change the oil

Ok you will need jack stands or ramps, a large low sided container to catch the old oil(any place that sells the oil and filter will sell this), a wrench for the drain plug in the oil pan(do not use a crescent or adjustable wrench), something to put the old oil into(old 1 gallon milk jugs work well), a filter, a filter wrench, oil(only use what grade the owners manual or oil filler cap recommend) oh and a hand full of rags.
Get the car up on the ramps or jack stands. Remove the drain plug and old filter. Let it all drain into the container. When it's all done draining put the drain plug back in(do not over tighten they strip fairly easy)nice and snug. Screw on the oil filter(make sure the old gasket isn't still on the block). Same with the oil filter nice and snug don't over tighten. Wipe up any oil that will have gotten on the frame, engine or you. If you drove it up on ramps fill with oil first before you start the car to get it down. Once on the ground and it has oil in it. Start it for about 25-30 seconds. Let it sit for a few seconds and Che k the oil level with the dipstick. Cap off the oil to proper level.
