I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V6 manual transmission. Engine wont start. FP good. Ignition works. Starts if fuel sprayed in intake. Injectors have power but not clicking. Show 12v across inj. plugs.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just installed a low mileage 01 V6 engine and manual trans with its PCM in
a 2002 LS V6 auto trans chassis.  Both were running before swap.  Now
engine won't start.  Has FP (45 psi) and ignition.  Will start if gas squirted
into manifold.  12v across injector plugs.  Injectors not clicking and no
voltage fluctuation when cranking.  No fault codes.  My code reader
(Torque OBD  ChecK) shows little to no throttle position movement when
throttle moved.  Also, seems odd that injector plugs are grounded all the
time.  Don't understand how that works.  I would think that would make the
injectors open all the time.  But it will hold fuel pressure with key on and
cranking (and over night).  For the conversion, had to install wires for the
two clutch pedal switches and for the different power steering pressure
sensor (on pressure line to rack for 2001 and on pump for 2002).
Otherwise, wiring manuals for both years show the wiring the same except
for one additional wire on connector C140 (engine harness to engine
compartment harness and PCM).  Some corrosion noted on electrical
connectors but doubt if that is the issue with injector wiring.  Have the Ford
shop manuals and wiring diagrams for 01 and 02.
