I have a 2001 Lincoln LS and it over heats,, what could it be? when purchase, we were told the only thing wrong with it was a poly..

she said it was were the motor belt is on... at first it was making a squeaky noise

Last but certainly not least is a blown head gasket. How does it run? Any warning lights on? Does it only overheat when sitting in traffic or quickly at anytime? The belts don't squeak themselves, it's usually an idler pulley or tensioner. Get back to us.

have u solved the problem? I had similar issues and always had fluid on the deck after I was in the drive through or sitting idle. found the metal clamp to the radiator hose to be broken. it looked like it was in place but it was broken. it allowed the fluid to pass through the hose as it heated up and started to bulge. simple fix I replaced it with the traditional screw type hose clamp. haven't had a problem in 5 years!
