engine overheating

Not much info, Kenny- is it a question? Like what to do about it? The usual suspects, thermostat, radiator, hoses, cooling fan, etc. Maybe just a bucket of ice and a cold brew-

i think it is thermostat. it is full of anti-freeze.the heater hoses are both cold when the rest are very warm

Yes then go with a thermostat.The reason I asked is this is the same symptoms as an air lock in the system but you haven't opened the system up so thermostat is what I would do.

I have a 2001 lincoln ls with a 3.9 v8 and is over heating and is leak> ng fluid by pump motor cant see where leak is, but fan does come on and pump isnt locking up but still loosing fluid what does this pump operate and is it common to spring a leak

Sounds like your heater core hose is leaking. IT is located by your termostat. And the problem for that is coming from the pressure from a bad water pump not circulating fast enough when driving. HOPES this helps everyone.

I HAVE A 2001 LS 3.9 JUST BOUGHT IT . IT STARTED RUNING HOT NO LEAKS. PUT ANTIFREEZE IN IT REPLACED THERMOSTAT.NO HEAT AND IT RUNS HOT.
