And VERY spendy to fix, the v8 s are also notorious for broken valve springs which requires about 3000.00 worth to repair.
The 2000 was the first LS, offering either the 3.0L V6 or the 3.9L V8, the latter a Jaguar designed and manufactured engine. Fine car. As for being a money pit, well it can be depending on how it was treated before. I don't know that about the valve springs tommcmanis, I believe you..not disputing, that it's just something I didn't know. The 3.0L is a bit underpowered at 205 HP, even for a mid size car, it weighs almost as much as a Town car at 3700lbs. But with the 3.9 at 252HP, that car will do 0 to 60 in 7.1 seconds Not bad
