How hard is it to put the window back on its track in a 2000 ls v8

takes about an hour remove door panel google it .and hope regulator is not broken probably is regulator though not off track.If regulator bad and your fair at repairing things can do yourself and save hundreds

I agree. It is most likely that the plastic guides on the rails of the window regulator have disintegrated or broke apart. If that is the case you will best be served by replacing the whole window regulator. Should cost between $35 to $85 for new window regulator. Need to remove internal panel and then unscrew regulator in several spots. It is fairly easy to do. I have replaced them a few times.
