We have a new GMC Acadia, and do NOT want wind star activated in our
car.We have nothing to hide, but, do not like the idea that they can monitor
you at anytime. Listen to you , and record auto information that is none of
their business. Can it be disconnected without messing up the computer?

Uhh, it is not Wind Star it is OnStar. Are you concerned about it tracking you to where you grow your pot? Just don't activate it and don't worry about it. It can not easily be removed from the system.
