2018 Acura RDX - will it hold it's value?
Asked by NewRDXornot Feb 06, 2018 at 03:18 PM about the 2018 Acura RDX AWD with Advance Package
Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I have seen pictures and details about the 2019 Acura RDX, and it appears to
be a completely different vehicle. I know that Acura's are known to hold their
value, and get good trade-in $$. Will this still be true with the 2018's? The last
year of this style. I really like the RDX, and think I can get a good price for
2018.

Ask yourself if you are buying the vehicle now. What would you do? Five years from now, every buyer will making the same decision.
All vehicles used for every day driving depreciate and some depreciate faster than others. The RDX would be a great vehicle with pretty good depreciation rates.
I'm in the exact same situation. Did you end up buying the Acura RDX? If so, do you mind sharing what you negotiated? And if not, what changed?
The question you are asking is a prediction of supply and demand. I don't think think you will receive a definite answer of if the 2018 Acura RDX will hold its value well. If you wish to see if a car brand holds its value well, it will probably good to study the used car market, to make an informative purchase of the vehicle if one of the main factors include selling the car in the future, or if you are trading it in. Couple FYI - dealers will always pay less for any trade in vehicles vs private party sale. A good 'break in' of a new car, proper maintenance, and good out appearance (no scratches and etc) will keep a car value high.
