Buying Used Car - Mileage vs. Year

10

Asked by sweiserw Sep 13, 2019 at 04:39 PM about the 2018 Buick Encore Essence AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I’m looking at small SUVs. I drive less than 10k miles per year. What is better:
a 2018 Buick Encore, former rental, with 49k miles, or a Toyota Rav 4 or
Mazda CX-5, 2016 or 2017, with 25-35k miles? I know the Buick is smaller,
but that doesn’t matter. I’m a small person and don’t usually haul bulky
things. I do want blind spot monitor and luxury touches.

I would suggest you drive all three and see which one you enjoy driving, vs one of us tell you what to buy.

Thanks, but I’m still wondering which is better: newer car, I.e, 2018, with high mileage or older car, I,e, 2017 or 2016, with low miles?
