SXM direct tune and other features not working

Asked by Christine Sep 15, 2018 at 04:47 PM about the 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring

Question type: General

I purchased brand new 2018 Forester last week and can
not SXM direct tune or pull up station list. Menus are
different from the owners manual as well. Was on phone
with Sirus rep for over 30 minutes today. Referred me to
dealership. They told me SiriusXM has a known issue with
Subaru and that it is a software related issue.

The manual will have menus for all the optional radios. Pick the correct one or you will never get anywhere!

I just got off the phone with SiriusXM technical rep. 1-866-463-5326. It took about 15 minutes in my car, but he re-set it and now it works fine.

I don't know about the other Suburu owners but my next cars will not be a Suburu. We all paid Sirisxm for a product. We are not receiving what we paid for. We want all of our money back. It is Sirisxm that needs to fix this. Suburu cannot promote or sell a car knowing that the radio does not work without disclosing that out front. Both companies have a lot to loose here. This needs to be recalled and fixed.
