Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1998 ford expedition has a problem whit
alternator being good already tested at auto zone
and it's good but I put a good charged battery on
the truck turn the truck on and just let it on until it
drains the battery cause it seems that it's just
working whit the battery!! And not the alternator!!
And if I take the negative cable off while the truck
is on the truck turns off as soon as I disconnect
that cable !!

CHECK THE MEGA FUSE FORM THE ALTERNATOR. TRACE THE POSITIVE CABLE FROM THE ALTERNATOR AND THERE IS USUALLY A MEGA FUSE IN BETWEEN

I took my negative terminal off hooked a test light clamp on the terminal an the needle on the negative post the light can on indicating some battery drainage in happening so i left the test light hooked up an start pulling fuses to see which one will shut off ther light, when i pulled #21 the ignition switch fuse the test light went off, what do i do now that i found out ther ignition fuse is keeping the test light on when it's in an off when it's out in my 1998 Eddie bauer Ford expedition 5.4liter.

Make sure the wire with the fuse able link connects to the mega fuse running to the alternator. Someone had mine wired to ground when I bought it....took me a week of hunting using internet and everything....even had a mechanic look at it....finally found the right diagram and got the issue fixed
