1969 Z28. Did Chevy make any with the DZ302 and auto transmissions?

Thank you. This car I am looking to buy as I am told is (or was) such. He said he raced it with the DZ 302 and a two speed powerglide. He later pulled it and put a big block in it. I know he did race it for it is still set up to drag. I am wondering if he mistakenly bought a clone - 20 years ago when he first bought the car. I do trust this guy. Hard to imagine that he went to the trouble to put emblems on it etc. This is why I am asking

So, a 69Z was available with an auto tranny! Is this what I am hearning? I understand the two speed not being available. This is where the conflict is. Some say yes - auto tranny's were an option and some (even you initially) say NO.

Thank you again Ed. Final question ( I hope) could a person buy a 69 with the DZ 302 installed other than a Z? Thanks again. cc
