cooling fan stays on allways when key on

cooling fan won't shut off.  always runs when key on.

Couple of things to check. First is the coolant temp sensor. If it reads hot all the time the fan will stay on. Most common is a code set in the engine module. The fan staying on is a failsafe due to the code. Local auto parts store should be able to scan it then Google the code. You'll prolly find a YouTube video to tell you how to fix it.
