Rear Brake Calipers/2018 Subaru Crosstrek

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Was informed by my servicing dealer that I
needed to replace rear calipers @ 36,000
miles. Have owned numerous disc brakes
cars with over 100k on the odometers and
never needed calipers. Has anyone
experienced this? No warning signs

That is unusual but it should be covered by your warranty.

Nah...SOA won't cover frictional brake parts. Modern rear brake rotors DO wear quickly, but usually last 3 winters here in the Northeast. Needing CALIPERS is unheard of, so you're probably being scammed, as even in salty climes the calipers last 10-5 years. Ern TSG/B

Error. SOA may cover a defective CALIPER, but they won't believe you need them...especially two!
